The Adventure Zone

THE MONTH OF JUNE IS BIKE MONTH, which is the brain child of BEST (Better Environmentally Sound Transportation). A B.C.-based pro-biking advocacy group, BEST wants to increase the number of people that cycle to work, school, play and shop. The benefits of the biking are indisputable — it gets you where you need to go without harming the planet, and according to BEST, a mere 30 minutes of brisk daily cycling reduces the risk of heart disease, adult diabetes and obesity by 50 percent. Add to that, the freedom of feeling the wind in your hair… or helmet.
