The folk-country music legend Stompin' Tom Connors died yesterday at the age of 77.
The Canadian icon recorded 61 albums over his career, 10 of which, according to his website, have yet to be released.

View Canada's most romantic place names in a larger mapLucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables novels put Prince Edward Island — and Canada — on the map as a place of evocative place names.
Lover’s Lane, Willowmere, Violet Vale and the Lake of Shining Waters were just some of the names the spirited Anne Shirley gave her favourite spots around the Cuthbert farm.
Those place names were a product of the author’s imagination, but Canada has plenty of romantic place names that could be mistaken for something out of Montgomery's books.

Todd and I were in Nain, Labrador last week getting ready to head out into the wilds of Nunatsiavut and Nunavik. I’d conducted a bunch of interviews already to get a perspective of the landcsape from the Labrador Inuit and others who've lived on the land and the coast here for generations.

After weeks of what felt like endless expedition preparations, we set sail from the northern coast of Newfoundland into the cold waters of the Labrador sea, both of us tired men.
